The embarkation is at Lakshadweep Passenger Center, Wellington Island, Cochin from 09:00am to 10:00am.
. There you get through - Collecting tickets, Checking In, Security check etc. Should be aware that no alcohol is allowed to be carried or consumed on this cruise. Let the company take our luggage on board, and it will be at our seat.
MV Kavaratti is a passenger ship which departs from Kochi to the island and between the islands. During the day, it drops the 'tourists' off at the tourist resort islands. The ship is clean and well maintained. The cabins are comfort size with air-conditioned and ensuite bathroom.
The meals on board are tasty. The filtered water is safe to drink. The tea is always sweetened.
The tourists visit three islands in turn. Agatti, Kalpeni and Minicoy in that order - but the order does change. The schedule of the day is similar in each day: 7 am breakfast (6.30 am sweetened tea), then don life jackets (provided in the cabin) to jump onto the launches which take you to the island shore. Back on the launches between 4-5 pm and dinner at 7.30 pm on board.
Every day is full of experience. Once back on MV Kavaratti you just take a shower, eat your evening meal, and then relax. Catch another island by the next day. The lack of 'luxury cruise ship' amenities is immaterial because of the excitement of each island visit. On the final day, we will be back to Cochin at 12 pm.
Day 1 Departure from Kochi
Boarding time will start 9:00 am. Please be in patient while in queue for check in, All Passengers including children's mandatory to carry photo ID cards. After the security check in, you will be transported by bus to Wharf and board to MV Kavaratti. A short instructional video show also will be screened depicting the various facilities available on board the ship and about the rules and regulations to be followed by the tourists on board for their own safety and for the safety of co-passengers.
